Michael J. Malone
President
Mr. Malone founded MJM, Inc. in 1989 to provide professional investigations to the insurance industry. He has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Trenton State College and has been in the private investigations and security business for over 18 years. During that time he has specialised in Insurance Investigations, Loss Prevention, Risk Management and Security Information Gathering (public and private sectors). Mr. Malone is a published author, and recognised leader in the insurance investigation industry and is a member of the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud. He places a high emphasis on leadership, teamwork and moral responsibility. This dedication and commitment has been the driving force behind MJM Investigation's success.
In his personal time, Mr. Malone founded the local chapter of Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (YEO) in Raleigh, NC in 1999. This organisation fosters education and learning for young entrepreneurs. In addition, he is actively involved with Junior Achievement, a non-profit organisation that educates students in the classroom on business fundamentals. Mr. Malone is a well-known philanthropist and regularly volunteers and contributes to numerous charitable organisations around the world.
David Brent Faggart
Chief Operating Officer
A team member of MJM since its inception in 1989, Mr. Faggart has contributed to many areas of the organisation throughout his career. Currently, Mr. Faggart is involved in managing enterprise level projects for MJM, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Faggart has over 20 years experience in the areas of insurance investigations and business management, and prior to joining MJM has worked in the areas of Claims Adjusting and Industrial Security.
A graduate of UNC-Charlotte, Mr. Faggart holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice. As MJM continues its long-term global expansion, Mr. Faggart has been challenged to explore new strategic growth opportunities for MJM around the world.
Bill Sodan
Senior Vice President
Operations
Mr. Sodan has more than 20 years investigative experience. He joined the MJM team in 1995 as a private investigator and quickly moved through the ranks to Senior Vice President of Operations.
Prior to MJM, he was US Army Counterintelligence Agent, investigating suspected espionage and terrorism. He has 16 years of military intelligence investigations including tenure as a certified polygraph examiner.
Mr. Sodan has a B.A. in History from the State University of New York and a M.A. in Human Relations from Webster College.
Carl H. Demarais
Vice President
Technology
Mr. Demarais has a mathematics degree, and worked in law enforcement in Poughkeepsie, NY prior to opening and managing a small property and casualty insurance brokerage in Northern New York in 1997. He has held licenses for life, accident, health, real estate, property and casualty sales, in addition to being a registered representative and financial advisor for Princor Financial Group.
Mr. Demarais joined MJM as a field investigator in 1999, and managed investigative field staff regionally prior to relocating his family to MJM’s corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC in 2003 to assume responsibility for management of all field resources globally. During his period of employment, Mr. Demarais has been instrumental in the development of many MJM standards and practices, both internal and external, leveraging his unique mix of insurance industry and technical knowledge.
In his current role as Vice President of Technology, Mr. Demarais is responsible for development and implementation of innovative technology solutions and advancements, as well as all data transmission, integrity and security at MJM.
Jodi A. Darrohn
Vice President
Human Resources
Mrs. Darrohn graduated Cum Laude from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science Degree and has received her PHR certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She has worked for MJM since 1999 and has been instrumental in formalizing many of its employment practices. Specializing in Policy Development, Benefit Administration, Liability Management, Employee Relations and Corporate Compliance, she has been successful in creating a positive and productive work environment for employees and managers alike.
In addition to her direct oversight of Global Human Resources, she manages MJM's Corporate Giving Program and Volunteer efforts throughout the community. While at MJM, Mrs. Darrohn has been responsible for implementation and oversight of a variety of strategic objectives, some of which include, corporate communications, staffing/retention, management development, diversity and social responsibility.
She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and graduated from the University of North Carolina's HR/Business Management Series.
Jean Moore
Vice President
Finance
Mrs. Moore joined MJM in March of 2007 as Vice President of Finance with over 20 years of financial industry experience. Currently, she manages the finance and accounting functions with specific emphasis on planning, analysis and process improvement.
Mrs. Moore’s experiences in her previous leadership roles, which have included Controller, Financial Analyst, and Big Five Auditor, have already proven to be an asset at MJM. Her prior experience includes, but is not limited to, audit, budget/forecast preparation and analysis, system implementation and division startup.
Mrs. Moore earned a Bachelor of Business Administration-Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters of Science Management-Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of AICPA and NCACPA.
Kieran Milne
Managing Director
MJM Australia
Since 1996, Mr. Milne has worked at Milne & Associates, which partnered with MJM in 2004. He is currently responsible for the overall management of the Australian division of MJM, including high level management, client liaison, business and professional development as well as the personnel, budgeting and ongoing performance of the company.
Prior to joining the MJM team, Mr. Milne worked for the New South Wales Police for six years. During this time, he gained valuable investigation experience, working as a detective investigating a wide range of criminal activities involving crimes of violence, drugs and prohibited substances, fraud and deception offences and theft and related offences. He currently holds a Private Inquiry Agent license.
Mr. Milne holds a number of professional qualifications and earned an Associate Diploma in Policing in 1995 from Charles Sturt University.
